摘　　要：“益智书会”1902年在上海出版的Chemical Terms in English and Chinese第一次面世,国内目前仅犮现这一册。详细介绍了此书的内容,并将其与“益智书会”1901、1904和1910年编著出版的同类书籍内容分别进行对比,从而梳理了它们的发展历史,进一步阐明了“益智书会”为统一中文化学译名所做工作的历程和贡献。该书亦可看作是中囯第一本有实用意义的Chemical Terms in English and Chinese。Chemical Terms in English and Chinese published by the“Educational Association of China”(EAC)in Shanghai in 1902 was appeared for the first time in China,and only one copy remains there today.A detailed introduction to the content of this book and the comparison of it with those in similar books compiled and published by EAC in 1901,1904,and 1910,respectively,are accomplished so as to sort out their development history and further clarify the process and contribution of the“EAC”in unifying the chemical translations in Chinese.This book can also be regarded as the first practical chemical dictionary in English and Chinese.
