摘　　要：陈之佛在上海筹创的尚美图案馆是中国现代设计史上第一家兼具设计艺术探索与实践、图案设计人才培养、设计研究与交流等多重使命的独立设计机构。尚美图案馆以提倡工商业、促进中国实业前途为宗旨,为推动中国现代设计事业的发展起到了先锋性作用,其运营期间呈现出近代中国探索设计现代性的历程。Established in Shanghai by Chen Zhifo,the Shangmei Design Studio was the first independent design institution in modern Chinese design history,with multiple missions such as exploring and practicing design art,nurturing pattern design talents,and conducting design research and exchanges.The Shangmei Design Studio was established with the dual aim of fostering industry and commerce,and advancing the future of China's industrial sector.It played a pioneering role in advancing China's design industry and underscored the process of exploring design modernity in contemporary China.
