摘　　要：The current distance from Ya'an to Panzhihua(then called Dukou)by highway is 505 kilometers,but at that time,the total distance from Chengdu to Panzhihua was over 823 kilometers(according to the current National Route 108).Driving through the Niba Mountain uninhabited area(which was then covered in primitive forest with no inhabitants).
