摘　　要：Professor Jason DeJong has been selected as the winner for the Distinguished Inaugural 2024 Biogeotechnics Lecture Award.Prof DeJong is a professor at the University of California,Davis.He is a PI for the NSF ERC Centre for Bio-mediated and Bio-inspired Geotechnics and the Director of the NSF NHERI Centre for Geotechnical Modelling.Prof.DeJong is a world leader in several areas of research related to geotechnical engineering,in particular biogeotechnics.His major technical achievements have been in the areas of biogeotechnics,soil and site characterization,earthquake engineering,and geotechnical sustainability.Results from his research program have been disseminated through more than 250 publications,and his work has been recognized through numerous awards including the ASTM International Hogentogler Award(2x),ICE TK Hsieh Prize,ASCE Huber Research Prize,ASCE Casagrande Professional Development Award,Prakash Research Award,ICE Telford Premium Prize,ASCE Prakash Award,and as an ASCE Fellow.
