A brief report on archaeological excavation for the Youyi Road Cemetery horizon at a supplementary land for the protection and exhibition construction in Kucha City

摘　　要：2023年3~4月,新疆维吾尔自治区文物考古研究所对库车友谊路墓群保护性展示项目(新增用地)内的墓葬进行了抢救性发掘清理,共清理墓葬62座,年代主要涵盖魏晋南北朝和唐两个时期。魏晋南北朝时期墓葬数量最多,形制丰富,埋葬现象复杂,丧葬文化兼收并蓄。唐时期墓葬数量很少,说明此处没有进行过大规模的墓葬营建活动。这批墓葬的发掘进一步丰富了库车友谊路墓群的考古学文化内涵,对于研究库车河流域人类发展历史具有重要的意义。The newly discovered cemeteries,located in a protective construction site of Kucha city for the Youyi Road Cemetery,was excavated by archaeologists from the Xinjiang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology between March and April of 2023,which had 62 graves with a chronological range from Wei-Jin-Southern-Northern to Tang dynasties.The cemetery was mainly composed of the Wei-Jin-Southern-Northern Dynasties graves,which feature diverse structures and complicated burial practices.The Tang Dynasty grave was a minority in the cemetery,suggesting a weak activity at that time to construct burials.These findings from the cemetery have broadened the archaeological significance of the Youli Road Cemetery,contributing to the study on human history in the Kucha River basin.
