摘　　要：The artificial total synthesis of crystalline bovine insulin is a milestone achievement of Chinese scientists in the field of life sciences since the founding of the People’s Republic of China.The article briefly reviews several historical events of the artificial total synthesis of bovine insulin,with the intentions of summarizing the historical experience of dedication,cooperation and innovation embedded in this achievement,and inspiring contemporary Chinese scientists.
