人才工程与荣誉称号英译之“假朋友”陷阱刍议——以2023“共绘丝路文明”文化人物艺术展为例

摘　　要：2023“共绘丝路文明”文化人物艺术展备受国内外各界人士关注。艺术展上的多位艺术家德艺双馨,造诣颇深,荣誉等身。艺术家相关介绍的英语译文成为外界了解中国现当代画坛巨匠风采、体悟中国文化底蕴、助推中国文化国际传播与互鉴、增强中国文化国际认同的得力媒介。该文旨在分析探究艺术家人物介绍中涉及的部分人才工程和荣誉称号相关术语的英译。通过汉英文本对比分析,笔者发现,部分国情特色术语英译极易落入“假朋友”陷阱,翻译时唯有仔细查证,避免望文生义,才能实事求是、恰如其分地展示艺术家们在各自领域的非凡造诣和业界影响。The 2023"Co-building the Silk Road Civilization"Cultural Figures Art Exhibition has attracted the attention of people from all walks of life,at home and abroad.In the Art Exhibition,there are many artists of the highest attainment who are pursuing both professional excellence and moral integrity and have won many honorary titles.The English translation,functioning as a powerful medium for the outside world to appreciate the glamour of the modern and contemporary Chinese painting masters,to better understand the Chinese cultural heritage,to promote the international dissemination and mutual learning of Chinese culture,and to enhance the international recognition of Chinese culture,brings unique charm to the art exhibition.This paper intends to analyze and explore the English translation of some terms related to talent projects and honorary titles involved in the introduction of artists.Through the comparative analysis of both the Chinese and English texts,the author finds that the English translation of some terms with Chinese cultural connotations and characteristics is prone to falling into the trap of"false friends".Only through careful investigation and strict avoidance of taking the words too literally in translation can we realistically and appropriately show the extraordinary attainments and influence of artists in their respective fields.
