Due to the excellent characteristics of hydrogen peroxide and its wide range of uses, hydrogen peroxide has been widely used in the chemical industry. At present, there are still some enterprises that do not fully grasp the safe use of hydrogen peroxide, and there are safety accidents about hydrogen peroxide. The study on the safe use conditions of hydrogen peroxide and the safe use strategy of hydrogen peroxide are discussed. The thermal safety risk of hydrogen peroxide was studied by DSC(Differential Scanning Calorimeter)instrument and conventional equipment in chemistry laboratory. The decomposition temperature and exhaust volume of hydrogen peroxide were studied under different Fe^(2+)content,pH value and concentration. After research,Fe^(2+)will promote the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide and reduce the decomposition temperature of hydrogen peroxide. With the increase of pH value, the decomposition temperature of hydrogen peroxide will first rise and then decline, and with the increase of concentration, the decomposition temperature of hydrogen peroxide will decrease.According to the common safety methods in chemical industry, some suggestions and strategies on the safe use of hydrogen peroxide are given.
