晚清民国潮州扇的地域文化特征探析

摘　　要：潮州扇是中国扇文化发展过程中一个颇具地域特色的类别,因晚清民国时期汕头蓬洲地区大量制作销售而得名。潮州扇以使用细线缠绑数十根细竹丝、形成便于拢风的内兜状扇面,扇面裱绢后多由民间画师绘人物故事图,且正面一侧边缘贴红色印款为主要特征。潮州扇不仅在本地广泛使用,更远销海内外各地。在一些文艺作品中潮州扇衍生为官僚与纨绔子弟的形象符号。与同时期其他扇类和后续相似扇类进行对比,可以进一步明晰潮州扇蕴含的独特地域文化因素及其背后的传承与创新。Chaozhou fans were a distinctive category in the development of Chinese fan culture,named after the locale of mass production and sales,Pengzhou District,Shantou,during the late Qing and the Republican periods.The fans are characterized by strings binding dozens of thin bamboo filaments into a slightly curved surface onto which silk is adhered.Folk artists often painted figures and stories on the fan,and a red seal was typically affixed to the edges.Chaozhou fans were not only widely used in Guangdong Province but also sold well abroad.In many literary works and artworks,they gradually became a symbol for corrupt officials and dandies.Comparing Chaozhou fans with other contemporary fans and similar fans from later periods,we can further understand the absorption and innovation behind Chaozhou fans'unique regional cultural characteristics.
