摘  要:针对现有服务质量(QoS)解决方案,如集成服务(InterServ/RSVP)、区分服务(DiffServ)及MPLS模型等,存在的适用性差及需要协议和硬件支持等不足,提出了一种新的可以支持实时分布式多媒体应用的分层自适应QoS控制模型,该模型融合了拥塞控制、视频帧调度、视频分层编码、FEC容错编码、速率自适应编码等多项技术,采用分层结构设计实现,并已经在多媒体同步实时授课系统RealClass中得到实际应用.结果表明:在同等网络条件下,新的QoS模型具有更优的多媒体传输质量,而且具有良好的扩展性,对IP网的路由和交换没有任何依赖等特点.Quality of Service(QoS) is a fundamental problem of IP network in real-time distributed multimedia application, but the current solutions, such as InterServ/RSVP, DiffServ and MPLS, suffer from their dependence on the support of network protocol and hardware, for example, router and switch, thus making them unfeasible in reality. A novel hierarchical and adaptive QoS control model is proposed, in which several strategies, such as traffic control, video frame transmission speed adjusting, layered video encoding, forward error coding and rate adaptive encoding, are realized and integrated into the QoS model effectively and seamlessly. This model is implemented by hierarchy architecture. Now it has already been applied and verified in the distance learning system named RealClass, and proved that better QoS can be gotten than others under the same network condition. It also shows good scalability and suitability since this QoS model has no extra requirement for IP network.
