摘　　要：国际海事卫星系统在气象灾害性天气直播报道和素材回传发挥了重要的作用。本文首先介绍现有海事卫星系统结构、功能、技术特点,以及针对灾害性天气报道的技术贴合性和环境适应性。通过中国气象频道海事卫星直播方案,阐述了海事卫星技术在灾害性天气直播报道的应用效益。最后展望了下一代海事卫星的发展情况在气象新闻报道中的应用前景。An Inmarsat system plays an important role in the disaster weather live report and back transmission of materials. This paper introduces the existing Inmarsat system's structure, function and technical characteristics. Also it describes the system's technology i tness and environmental adaptability for severe weather reports. Through the China Weather TV Inmarsat's live broadcasting scheme, this paper expounds application benei ts of Inmarsat technology. Finally, the paper discusses application prospect of the next generation of Inmarsat.
