摘 要:"9·11"事件的爆发,让美国重新审视媒体与外交之间的关系,美国媒体开始以多种方式为反恐战争服务:协助美国迅速建立全球反恐联盟体系;为反恐政策和行动实现"动机合理化"提供舆论支持;提升美国国际形象并淡化全球范围内的反美情绪;运用新媒体与网络恐怖主义进行斗争;等等。在取得诸多成果的同时,美国的媒体外交依然面临很多挑战,如难以真正摆脱美国反恐策略和外交政策设计缺陷带来的巨大束缚,无法对盟友国媒体施加与美国实力相符的影响力等。寻求应对这些挑战的途径和应对"伊斯兰国"组织崛起带来的冲击等,都是未来美国媒体外交必须面对的重大课题。The outbreak of the 9 /11 incident makes the United States to re-examine the relationship between media and diplomacy and the US media began to serve the war on terrorism in many ways by assisting the United States to establish rapidly a global system of anti-terrorist alliance,providing the support of public opinion for achieving the rationalization of the motivation of counter-terrorism policy and actions,improving the international image of the United States and diluting the anti-American sentiment around the world; using new media to combat terrorism on the Internet,and so on.While many achievements have been made,the media diplomacy of the US still face many challenges,such as the difficulty of really getting rid of the tremendous restraints brought about by the design flaws of US counterterrorism policy and foreign policy and the influence matching with American power cannot be applied on the media of the allies.To seek ways to meet these challenges and deal with the impact of the rise of Islamic State is a major issue that must be faced by the American media diplomacy in the future.
