摘　　要：章太炎是五四新文化运动中反孔斗争的带头人。他的思想影响一代学人。他追寻民主与科学的潮流,与五四时期的爱国者同步。在中西文化撞击的风浪中,章太炎保持清醒的头脑,坚持正确航向,推动中华民族文化的近代化进程。他激流勇进,超越前贤,使同时代人望尘莫及。As a guide in the struggle against Co mfucius in the May 4the movement,Zhang tai-yan's thought exterted a tremendous influ ence upon a generation of learned men.He went along with trends of democracy and science and kept pac e with patriots in the period of the Ma y 4th Movement.In the cultural exchange of Chinese and Western Zhang tai-yan kept a cool head ad hered to the correct orientation and gave great impetus t o the development of the Chinese nati onal culture in the modern times.
