摘　　要：文章对图像压缩技术的发展的前沿状况作了简要的论述,特别就目前国际上正在研究的压缩思想和方法作了介绍,并对图像和视频压缩的热点问题作了初步的探讨。This pa per is to describe the current research of the image and video compression tech nologies in brief,and introduce the ongoing technologies and methods of image( video and audio)compression.At the same time ,this paper dis-cusses the in tensive issue in the domain of image compression technologies in the future.
