近代滹沱河下游植棉业发展及其历史意义

摘　　要：近代滹沱河下游植棉业,奠基于清前中期,虽在天津开埠后逐渐衰落,但清末新政再次赋予了其强大的行政推力并使其乘上了世界范围内棉花产地转移的东风。民国时期,下游远离滹沱河改道区诸县的植棉业在凿井事业支持下成为河北省举足轻重的产棉区。不可忽视的是,近代滹沱河下游植棉业发展的背后是无数小农为家庭存续作出的努力,小农经济由此成为近代滹沱河下游城乡发展路径转型的重要内生动力。As Hutuo River plays a double-edged role in the development of the cotton planting industry in the lower reaches of Hutuo River,the well sinking business and the financial industry have become the key human factors for the cotton planting industry to cope with the challenges of Hutuo River.On this basis,as foreign goods invaded the lower reaches of Hutuo River in the late Qing Dynasty,the government began to vigorously promote the cotton planting industry in the lower reaches of Hutuo River in the New Deal period of the late Qing Dynasty.During the Republic of China,the cotton planting industry in the lower reaches of Hutuo River finally achieved great development,becoming the core area of Xihe Cotton Area,one of the three major cotton areas in Hebei Province,and occupying an important position in Tianjin cotton market.At the same time,the development of cotton planting industry also provides the main endogenous driving force for the urban development in the downstream area and gradually changes the economic basis of regional urban development.
