貞觀初年唐朝與林邑關係史新證——以《元軌墓誌》爲中心  

A New Historical Evidence for the Relationship between the Tang and Champa in the Early Zhenguan Period Centered on the Epitaph of Yuan Gui

摘　　要：在唐朝與南海諸國的對外交往中,與林邑的來往最爲繁密。兩《唐書》將林邑列於南蠻傳之首,在記述南蠻諸國的方位時,多以林邑爲參照。真臘、婆利、刹羅等國入華朝貢時也常隨林邑使者前來。據周偉洲先生研究指出,林邑朝貢唐朝多達35次,僅在武德、貞觀時期就有7次[1]。唐高宗與武則天時期,唐王朝與林邑依然關係密切[2]。遍檢漢文史籍,不難發現,在唐朝與林邑的交往史中,幾乎都是林邑遣使朝貢唐朝的記載,未見有唐朝遣使林邑的情形[3]。Although there are records in some history books about Champa envoys to pay tribute to the Tang dynasty,no cases of Tang envoys visiting Champa had been found before the newly discovered and published Epitaph of Yuan Gui元軌墓誌.The epitaph shows that in the third year of Zhenguan貞觀(629 AD),Yuan Gui was sent to Champa by Emperor Taizong太宗as a deputy envoy to entitle Fan Touli范頭黎as the new king of Champa.Although Yuan Gui died in Bi Jing比景on the diplomatic mission,information of Fan Touli's image and clothing should be brought back to Chang an長安and this diplomatic mission became the main basis for the stone statue of Fan Touli among the fourteen chiefs in Zhao Ling昭陵.The record of Yuan Gui's mission to the Champa in his epitaph has no parallel in other existing historical data and it reveals an important event in the history of Tang foreign relations.
