摘　　要：由于数量上的稀少、话语上的贫以及屈指可数的出场次数,约瑟夫·康拉德中篇小说《黑暗的心》中的女性角色往往不被人们所关注。也因此,一些极端的女性主义批评家指责康拉德是“温和的反女性主义者”,剥夺了女性角色的话语权并建构出一个女性失声的男权语境。本文旨在通过文本细读,重新审视并梳理《黑暗的心》中的女性形象,打破被批评家们冠以的消极、被动、从属的康拉德式女性刻板印象,关注女性角色的言语和行为,并通过与社会、神话、地域、心理等诸多非文本要素的互动联系,剖析她们在文学叙事以及在现实世界中为打破“可怕的沉寂”而传达出的重要声音。In Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness,women are not considered as main protagonists;likewise,the proportions of their description are outnumbered by male.Some feminist critics accuse Conrad of imprisoning women in a patriarchal world by deprival of their independent status and expressive voice.This article,however,intends to break the negative,passive,and subordinate impression of Conrad's females stereotyped by critics and male-dominated society in the end nineteenth century.Through the lens of close reading on female discourses and their behaviour,it will explore how these women characters struggle for both literal and social voice to break the formidable silence of the literary narrative and the physical reality.
