摘　　要：地图作为国际上公认的三大通用语言之一,是表达地理世界的创新思维工具;地图集则是地图的“综合”与“深化”,相较于单一地图,能在新的广度和深度上表征复杂的地理世界。地图集对地理学的重要性不言而喻,随着对地图集研究的深入及科技水平的提升,地理学专家在不同阶段对地图集的认识和理解不断更新,地图集也因此在各个阶段获得新的发展。本文首先探讨了地图集的性质、功能及作用,并阐释了地图集如何科学构建复杂的非线性地理世界;其次,文章阐述了地图集创新发展的主要驱动因素:先进理论的引领、AI技术的赋能、地图文化的铸魂以及社会需求的植根;最后,文章侧重分析了云计算、人工智能等技术发展背景下,我国地图集创新发展及其数智化转型的态势,指出地图集作为科学构建非线性复杂地理世界的“百科全书”正迈入蓬勃发展的新时代,从设计到编绘再到出版,其全过程的数智化转型将掀开地图集发展的新篇章。As one of the three universally recognized languages worldwide,maps serve as innovative tools to conceptualize and express the geographic world.An atlas,representing a comprehensive and in-depth synthesis of maps,can capture the complex geographic world with new breadth and depth,surpassing the scope of a single map.The significance of atlases in geography is self-evident.As research on atlases advances alongside technological developments,geographers’understanding and perception of atlases evolve across different stages,driving new developments in each phase.This article begins by exploring the nature,functions,and roles of atlases,emphasizing how they can scientifically construct the com-plex,nonlinear geographic world.It then delves into the primary drivers of innovative atlas development:the guidance of advanced theories,the empowerment of AI technologies,the cultural influence of cartography,and the grounding in societal needs.Finally,the paper focuses on the trends in innovative atlas development and the digital-intelligent transformation of atlases in China amid the technological progress of cloud com-puting and artificial intelligence.It highlights that atlas,as“encyclopedias”for constructing the nonlinear complex geographic world,has reached a new peak in development,with the digital-intelligent transformation of the entire“designcompilation-publication”process set to open a new chapter in atlas evolution.
