媒介基础设施视野下中国新闻事业的现代化:路径与特征

摘　　要：当代中国新闻事业既是中国式现代化的有机组成部分,又作为现代社会的子系统发挥了重要的功能,推动了现代化进程。以往的研究多从思想舆论、意识形态、社会共识等维度展开研究。本文回望新中国成立以来尤其是改革开放以来新闻事业的发展史,从媒介基础设施的视角展开分析,参照“媒介-国家能力”的理论分析框架,探讨中国新闻事业发展的物质性和结构性路径,怎样解决媒介发展中的人口规模、区域均衡、资源调配、协同发展、人的现代化等重大问题,进而形成中国新闻事业现代化的特征,一方面与西方新闻业的现代化路径有一定的相似之处,另一方面则突出体现了中国语境下现代化的实践贡献。从中国式现代化中发掘新闻事业的历史经验,可以为建构中国自主的新闻传播学知识体系提供历史和经验参照。Contemporary China's journalism is not only an integral part of Chinese path to modernization,but also plays an important role as a subsystem of modern society and promotes the modernization process.Previous studies mostly conducted research from the dimensions of thought and public opinion,ideology,and social consensus.This article reviews the development history of journalism since the founding of the People's Republic of China,especially since the reform and opening up,analyzes it from the perspective of media infrastructure,and discusses the materiality and structure of the development of journalism inChina with reference to the theoretical analysis framework of“media-national capabilities”path,how to solve major issues such as population size,regional balance,resource allocation,coordinated development,and human modernization in media development,thus forming the characteristics of the modernization of China's journalism.This aspect has certain similarities with the modernization path of Western journalism.The similarities,on the other hand,highlight the practical contribution of modernization in the Chinese context.Discovering the historical experience of journalism from Chinese path to modernization can provide historical and empirical reference for constructing China's independent knowledge system of journalism and communication.
