区域国别研究的跨学科探索:冷战国际史与东南亚研究的交叉与融合

摘　　要：冷战国际史研究和东南亚研究分属于两个不同的研究领域,有着具有竞争关系的相互不同的学术范式,二者对话有其独特的国际史和区域研究背景,展现了一种交叉、融合和开放的学术平台对于学术研究自身的价值。冷战国际史研究和东南亚研究的对话产生“东南亚冷战”这一研究领域,“冷战—学术”的共生性是东南亚知识生产的起点。“东南亚冷战”研究注重冷战国际化和本土化的“双重逻辑”,从原本边缘或外围视角审视冷战对世界图景的塑造,在传统“大冷战”研究衰退之际,开辟区域与国别研究的新领域。在跨学科意义上,二者结合有利于通过跨学科方法和多视角考察,打通国际史、外交史、冷战史和区域史等研究领域的条块分割,突破传统区域研究的局限,探索区域国别研究的未来之路。今天,人类既需要在智识上走出20世纪下半叶以来的“冷战桎梏”,也需要建构一种全球性的不问“东西”、多样共存的区域国别知识体系,中国学者有可能在冷战研究与东南亚研究的跨学科实践中探索一条区域国别研究的智识之路,从而真正告别“冷战”。Cold War International History Research and Southeast Asian Studies belong to two different research fields,with different academic paradigms that compete with each other.The two fields build upon unique international history and area studies traditions respectively,and the dialogue between the two exemplifies the significant value of cross-disciplinary,integrated,and open academicexchanges.ThedialoguebetweenColdWar International History Research and Southeast Asian Studies has produced a new research field of"Southeast Asian Cold War."In the context of Southeast Asian knowledge production,a symbiotic relationship exists between the Cold War and academic research.The Southeast Asian Cold War Studies focuses on the""dual logic"of the internationalization and localization of the Cold War,examining world-making processes during the Cold War era from the peripheral perspective.It opens up new subfields in area studies while the traditional"Great Cold War"research is declining.Throughinterdisciplinary perspective investigations,the combination of the two fields is conducive to overcoming the isolation and limitations of research programs indifferenthistoricalsubjects international,diplomatic,Cold War,and regional approaches.Today,mankind needs to intellectually break out of"Cold War Thinking"and construct a comprehensive,global knowledge system based on regions and states that does not ask about"East or West"but embraces coexistence in diversity.Through the interdisciplinary practice of Cold War studies and Southeast Asian studies,Chinese scholars may be able to explore a new intellectual approach to area studies so as to truly bid farewell to the"Cold War."
