摘　　要：《警察与赞美诗》是美国著名批判现实主义作家、现代短篇小说创始人欧·亨利短篇小说的经典之作,他以炉火纯青的写作技巧和独特的艺术魅力,实践了“欧·亨利式结尾”的精妙,其小说生动地表现了20世纪初美国社会的众生相,被誉为“美国生活的幽默百科全书”。文章从“欧·亨利式结尾”的具体表现、特征和作用三个方面诠释了《警察与赞美诗》的精巧构思、独特风格、新颖内容,对既在意料之外、又在情理之中、成为全篇点睛之笔的结尾进行了深入分析,以期为后世文学创作提供有益借鉴和参考。The Cop and the Anthem is a classic short story by O.Henry,a famous American critical realist writer and the founder of modern short stories.With his consummate writing skills and unique artistic charm,he practiced the exquisite“O.Henry style ending”.This paper interprets the ingenious conception,unique style and novel content of The Cop and the Anthem from three aspects:the specific manifestations,characteristics and functions of the“O.Henry style ending”.It conducts an in-depth analysis of the ending that is both unexpected and reasonable,and serves as the finishing touch of the entire piece,with the aim of providing valuable references and inspirations for future literary creation.
