摘　　要：Christopher Jones Prof.Jones received his B.S.E.from the University of Michigan,USA,in 1995,followed by his M.S.(1997)and Ph.D.(1999)in Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology(CalTech),USA,with Mark E.Davis.He was a Postdoctoral Fellow also at CalTech until 2000 when he joined the Georgia Institute of Technology(Georgia Tech),USA,as an Assistant Professor.He is currently the John F.Brock III School Chair at Georgia Tech,and previously served as Associate Vice President for Research from 2013-2019.Prof.Jones’s research group works on functional materials,catalysis,and adsorption.In catalysis,the work spans from molecular to heterogeneous catalysis,while the work on adsorption focuses on CO_(2) removal from ultra-dilute mixtures such as ambient air,where the group works on direct air capture(DAC)technologies.Prof.Jones was the founding Editor-in-Chief of two journals published by the American Chemical Society(ACS),ACS Catalysis and JACS Au.Prof.Jones was elected to the National Academy of Engineering,USA,in 2022 and named a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors,USA,in 2023.
