摘　　要：现代国家(即民族国家)的诞生依赖于近代西欧特定的社会条件,并且经历了从民族建设到政权建设的历史过程。这种特定的初始条件与历史次序在很大程度上决定了西欧模式的不可复制性。历史经验表明,那些促进西欧国家转型的因素不仅没有为西欧之外的社会带来国家现代化,而且还造成了普遍的政治衰朽与国家失败。这种情况也适用于中国的现代国家建设,直到中华人民共和国成立为止。本文集中阐释中国共产党如何带领中国人民成功地从一个弱国家走向一个强国家。中国共产党领导的社会革命克服了国家转型不利的初始条件,逆转了历史次序给现代国家建设带来的负面影响,创造了一个发展中国家现代国家建设的伟大奇迹。在新民主主义革命与中国特色社会主义现代化建设过程当中,中国共产党始终把人民的利益放在第一位,建立与完善了以民主集中制为根本原则的议行合一的国家机构,坚定不移地探索中国式现代化的道路。The emergence of the modern state( i. e.,the nation-state) in Western Europe occurred under specific social conditions and followed a historical process from nation-building to statebuilding. These particular initial conditions and differing historical sequences largely determine the non-replicability of the Western European model. Historical experience suggests that the factors driving state transformation in Western Europe not only failed to bring about state modernization in nonEuropean societies but also led to widespread political decay and state failure. This situation also applied to China's state modernization efforts until the establishment of the People's Republic of China.This paper explains how the Communist Party of China( CPC) successfully led the Chinese people to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,transforming a weak state into a strong one. The paper argues that the social revolution led by the CPC overcame the unfavorable initial conditions for state transformation,reversed the negative impacts of historical sequencing on state-building,and created a remarkable miracle of modern state-building in a developing country. Throughout the New Democratic Revolution and the process of socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics,the CPC has consistently prioritized the interests of the people,established and improved democratic institutions for the people,and steadfastly explored a uniquely Chinese path to modernization.
