摘　　要：Hong Kong is a city with a rich history and a dynamic present.Originally a collection of fishing villages,it became a key trading post on the maritime Silk Road and later fell under British control after the First Opium War in 1842.Since its return to Chinese sovereignty in 1997,Hong Kong has operated as a Special Administrative Region under the"one country,two systems"principle,maintaining its own legal,economic,and social systems.
