摘 要:包络线跟踪(Envelope Tracking,ET)电源可以输出可变幅值电压,跟踪射频(Radio Frequency,RF)输入信号包络的变化而变化,以提高通信基站功放的效率。为实现高带宽、高效率跟踪的目标,提出了一种幅值范围分段跟踪(Amplitude Range Segmented Tracking,ARST)方法,根据RF包络信号在不同幅值范围内的分布规律,分别设计与之适应的优化跟踪策略和电路拓扑,包括上段精确跟踪、中段降带宽跟踪和下段准恒压跟踪。计算机仿真验证表明,上述方法不仅实现了开关损耗和线性放大器损耗的优化分布,而且从整体上大幅提升了ET电源系统的效率。同时,上述方法具有良好的通用性和灵活性,可适用于各种不同制式的移动通信系统。Envelope Tracking(ET)power supply can output variable amplitude voltage to track the changes of the Radio Frequency(RF)input signal envelope,so as to improve the efficiency of the power amplifier in the communication base station.In order to achieve the goal of high bandwidth and high-efficiency tracking,an Amplitude Range Segmented Tracking(ARST)method is proposed.According to the distribution law of RF envelope signals in different amplitude ranges,the optimized tracking strategy and circuit topology are designed respectively,including upper segment accurate tracking,middle segment reduced bandwidth tracking and lower segment quasi-constant voltage tracking.Computer simulation shows that the method not only realizes the optimal distribution of switch loss and linear amplifier loss,but also greatly improves the efficiency of the ET power system as a whole.At the same time,the method has good generality and flexibility,and can be applied to various mobile communication systems with different standards.
