摘　　要：A recent paper published in Nature[1]by Bradley and colleagues reports that zosurabalpin,an optimized tethered macrocyclic peptide(MCP)antibiotic,can kill Acinetobacter baumannii by inhibiting Lpt B2FGC transport of lipopolysaccharide(LPS)from the bacterial plasma membrane to its outer membrane(Fig.1).This breakthrough in the search for new antibiotics,like petrichor after a long drought,breathes new life into the prospect of treating drug-resistant bacterial like carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii(CRAB).
