摘　　要：江南水乡,河湖塘浦贯通全境,通江达海,运河贯穿南北。水利成为江南农业发展的命脉,造就了长期较为富庶的全国最大的经济区。江南水网是江南区域生产生活的血脉,成为对外联系的基本通道,借由自然地理条件依凭水道交通而展开。四通八达的水道是江南对外的商运大通道和生命线,沟通了江南与全国乃至海外的经济联系,是江南社会持续发展的命脉,也成为江南融入全球化经济的纽带,深刻影响着世界经济一体化后江南经济的发展进程。The present paper,analytically discussing the roles that water plays in the development of Jiangnan,such as the water conservancy is vital for Jiangnan's agriculture,the network of rivers is the lifeline of Jiangnan's production and transportation,and the waterway is crucial to Jiangnan's trade with other parts of the country and the entire globe,proudly proclaims that water is the key of Jiangnan's development in the past,present,and future.
