人称指示语的人际语用身份构建——以英美领导人就职演讲为例  

A Study on the Identity Construction of Personal Deixis from the Perspective of Interpersonal Pragmatics:Taking for Example the Inaugural Speeches of British and American Leaders

摘　　要：以英美领导人的就职演说政治话语为语料,从人际关系、人际情态和人际评价视角分析其人称指示语的使用与身份构建的关系。结果发现,英美两国领导人就职演讲中人称指示语的使用呈正相关,第一人称和第三人称使用频次较多,特别是第一人称复数的使用最为频繁,能更好地达到语用移情的效果,实施积极礼貌策略。在身份建构方面,人称指示语的使用遵循站位原则、指示原则、交互原则,呈现如下特点:(1)在人际关系建构方面,第一人称单复数指示语间相互转化,同一指示语会呈现不同的指称意义,自称指示手段积极维护内群体身份。(2)在人际情态方面,领导者在人称指示语上多使用近距全指表达趋同情感,且多与责任型情态动词搭配。(3)在人际关系评价方面,领导者会根据自己的多重身份,积极维护交际双方的素质面子和身份面子管理。Based on the discourse of the inaugural speeches of British and American political leaders,this paper analyzes the relationship between the use of personal deixis and identity construction from the perspective of interpersonal relationship,interpersonal modality and interpersonal modality.The results show that there is a positive correlation between the use of person deictic in inaugural speeches in Britain and the United States,the first person and the third person are used more frequently,especially the plural of the first person,which can better achieve the effect of pragmatic empathy and implement the positive politeness strategy.In terms of identity construction,they follow the indexicality principle,positionality principle and relationality principle,showing the following characteristics:in the aspect of interpersonal relationship construction,the single and plural deixis of the first person transform each other,and the same deixis will present different referential meanings.The self-proclaimed deixis actively maintain the intra-group identity.In terms of interpersonal modality,leaders often use short range full exponents to express convergent emotion in personal deictic,and they often match with responsible modal verbs.In interpersonal relationship evaluation,leaders will actively maintain the quality face and identity face management of both parties according to their multiple identities.
