摘  要:曾国藩在“古文四象”说中,专列“趣味”一象,分论诙诡与闲适,提升了“趣”在古文理论中的地位;其对“诙诡之趣”的阐发,丰富与开拓了古代文论中“趣”的内涵与外延,突破了桐城派先贤的古文审美传统,开辟了桐城派文论新天地。“趣味”说的提出,源自其对古文与道统的辩证分析。曾氏“趣味”说得到桐城派后学的积极回应与发展,落实于相关的文学批评与创作上,但其中的礼学思想则多为他们所忽略。曾国藩“趣味”说的提出,在客观上弱化了桐城派古文载道的传统,可视为桐城派重视古文独立价值的关键转捩点,它直接推动桐城派古文在晚清复杂境况中获得新的转机并呈现最后的辉煌。Zeng Guofan specially listed“Interesting”in his“Four Images of Ancient Prose”theory,which contains“Bizarre In-teresting”and“Leisurely Interesting”,and raised the status of“Interesting”in ancient Chinese literary theory.His interpretation of the“Bizarre Interesting”enriched and expanded the connotation and extension of“Interesting”in ancient literary theory.And it broke through the ancient literary aesthetic tradition of Tongcheng school sages and also opened up a new field of Tongcheng school’s literary theory system.The proposal of the“Interesting”theory comes from his dialectical analysis of ancient Chinese literature and Confucian orthodoxy.Zeng Guofan’s“Interesting”theory received positive response and development from the later study of Tongcheng school.It is implemented in related literary criticism and creation,but the thought of rites was largely overlooked by them.The proposal of Zeng Guofan’s“Interesting”theory,which objectively weakens the tradition of the Tongcheng school’s writings are for conveying truth.It could be seen as a key turning point for the Tongcheng school,which attaches importance to the indepen-dent value of ancient Chinese literature.It directly promoted the Tongcheng school’s ancient prose to gain a new turning point in the complex situation of the late Qing Dynasty and present the final glory.
