摘　　要：对档案馆本质功能进行探讨,是对档案馆工作流程进行梳理和提升的过程,有助于回归档案馆功能实质,把握工作发展方向。从档案馆作为信息传递中介的定义和原因切入,就其特点和与其他信息传递中介机构的区别展开,信息传递中介是档案馆本质功能,其他一切功能皆为档案信息传递功能的发展方向提供思路和见解。The exploration of the core function of archives is the process of reorganizing and upgrading the workflow of archives.It helps to return to the nature of the function of archives and grasp the direction of work development.Starting from the definition and reason of archives as an information transmission intermediary,the paper analyzes its characteristics and differences from other information transmission intermediaries.It is found that the core function of archives is the intermediary of information transmission and that all other functions just provide ideas and insights for the development direction of the information transmission function of archives.
