《忽必烈汗》中双性同体身份的语音象似性表征  

On the representation of phonetic iconicity of androgynous identity:A case study of Kubla Khan by Samuel Taylor Coleridge

摘　　要：本文从语音象似性视角分析了诗歌《忽必烈汗》中忽必烈双性同体身份的建构,借助Praat语音分析软件,从听觉象似性(音高和音强)、节奏象似性(格律、韵律和句子时长)以及语音象征3个维度对忽必烈不同身份的语音象似性表征进行分析。研究发现,第一,诗歌第一诗节音强变化小,平均音高值低,节奏平缓,语音效果悠扬,建构忽必烈身份中阴柔的一面;第二,诗歌第二诗节音强变化大,平均音高值高,节奏跳动,语音效果铿锵有力,建构忽必烈身份中阳刚的一面;第三,诗歌第三诗节音强、音高和节奏变化兼具舒缓和暴烈的特点,建构了忽必烈双性同体的身份。This paper examines how phonetic iconicity constructs Kubla Khan's androgynous identity in the poem “Kubla Khan”.Phonetic iconicity was explored through auditory iconicity(intensity and pitch),rhythmic iconicity(metre,rhyme,and sentence duration),and sound symbolism with Praat.The results show that:(1) Stanza 1 has gentle sound intensity,slow rhythm,and low mean pitch,creating a melodious phonetic effect that reflects Kubla Khan's femininity;(2) Stanza 2 has dramatic sound intensity,fast rhythm,and high mean pitch,producing a powerful phonetic effect that represents Kubla Khan's masculinity;(3) The changes of sound intensity,pitch,and rhythm are slow first and drastic afterwards in Stanza 3,showing the phonetic representation of Kubla Khan's androgynous identity.
