摘　　要：本文利用韵律句法理论解释澄海话VP-Neg的两个特殊现象——析取连词“啊”的隐现,句末否定词的降调轻读,并讨论二者的联动效应及普通话VP-Neg连词隐形的原因。在“管约式核心重音指派规则”和“一调一动律”的制约下,为了保障核心重音顺利指派,澄海话VP-Neg利用连词“啊”将并列谓语隔断为两个语调短语,第二个语调短语在与句调短语重合的基础上合法获得核心重音。澄海话VP-Neg还可能采取降调轻读的方式将句末否定词并入前一个语调短语,与此同时连词失去隔断功能,必须隐形。普通话VP-Neg也通过集体轻读的方式,将并列谓语中第二个谓语排除出核心重音范域,由于两个谓语失衡,因此连词“还是”掉落。This paper uses prosodic syntax theory to explain two special phenomena of VPNeg in Chenghai dialect:the invisibility of the disjunctive conjunction“啊”and the lowering tone of the negation words at the end of the sentences,and discusses the linkage effect of the two phenomena and the reasons for the invisibility of the Mandarin VP-Neg conjunction.VP-Neg has always been a special Chinese sentence structure that has attracted much attention from academic circles.In one of the classic articles,Huang(1988)pointed out that the presence or absence of the disjunctive conjunction“还是”is one of the crucial bases for distinguishing selective questions from VP-Negs in Mandarin.Similarly,Tang(2016)also believed that Cantonese could use the conjunction“定”to differentiate between these two structures.However,Chenghai dialect differs from the former two in that the conjunction“啊”is allowed to appear in both alternative questions and VP-Negs.In addition,the conjunction is“dispensable”,but there is a linkage phenomenon when the conjunction is dropped.The negative word at the end of the sentence is pronounced with a lower tone.Based on the above special grammatical manifestations,this paper explores what language rules control the looming of Chinese VP-Neg conjunctions.Through layer-by-layer exclusion and comparative analysis,it is found that syntactic and semantic rules cannot control the looming of VP-Neg disjunctive conjunctions,and only prosodic rules are the motivation which trigger the looming of VP-Neg disjunctive conjunctions in different dialects.Base on“Constraint on Sentential Intonation in Chinese”and“Governmentbased Nucleus Stress”,to ensure the assignment of the nuclear stress:1.The VP-Neg of Chenghai dialect uses the conjunction“啊”to divide the coordinating predicate into two consecutive tone sandhi domains and simultaneously separate it into two intonation phrases.The second intonation phrase legally acquires nuclear stress based on coincidence with the intonation phrase,a
