摘 要:民族走廊常是大区域间的地理“缝隙”,宏观上有隙地特征,微观上又内含小尺度隙地,成为周边区域人口膨胀、饥荒和战时迁逃的出路。隙地人群常援引国家正统权威,为占有土地寻找正当性,但在国家难以深入隙地日常治理时,土地权利界分又主要依靠其自身力量来维系。隙地主体人群的民族身份,成为控制土地的基本资格。随着新的人群一拨拨流入,隙地人群的民族认同得以不断层累,但即使已接受“礼”仪,赋役与“民”亦无差别,有土地占用资格的主体人群的民族认同却一直被坚守。其多重认同意识模型,乃由相互镜像化成。这种民族走廊的构成机制表明,“什么民族到了什么地方”只是多民族迁徙史的一面,同样重要的另一面是“到什么地方就成了什么民族”。Ethnic corridors are often geographical“gaps”between large regions.As unoccupied spaces,they have become enclaves for population expansion,famine,and wartime migration in the surrounding areas.People who take refuge in these“gaps”often invoke the orthodox authority of the state to justify their land occupation.However,as the state cannot always extend its daily governance to these spaces,the demarcation of land rights mainly depends on local forces for recognition.The ethnic identity of the major occupant group becomes the basic qualification for controlling the land.New inflows,hosts after hosts,would either integrate themselves into the major group or be forced to move out when the land capacity is strained.As a result,ethnic identity can multiply,but adherence to the ethnic identity of the major group qualified for land ownership perseveres.The model of multiple identities is made up of mirrored consciousness.The formation of such ethnic corridors shows that we need to pay attention not only to“what ethnic group has gone where”,but also to“what ethnic group they finally become”in the history of multi-ethnic migration.
