史传视域下唐传奇“奇”的审美追求与价值意义

摘　　要：唐传奇创作虽与史传有关联,但审美追求明显不同。唐传奇闲暇状态的成书,“游心骇目”的创作追求,对鬼神怪异、爱情婚恋、侠义题材的偏爱,叙事中对“文”特征的开掘和发扬等,皆使唐传奇创作呈现出与史传截然不同的面目。唐传奇求“奇”的这些追求取向,既使其与唐前小说创作有明显不同,也与后世白话小说创作面目相殊,从而获得了其自身存在的独特主体性面目,使其成为小说文体发展中特别的“那一个”。立足整个中国古代小说发展来讲,唐传奇求“奇”的这些取向,促进了后世小说对“拍案惊奇”创作效果的追求,激发了小说创作“常中出奇”叙事能力的开发,促进了整个中国古代小说的成长和发展。Although the creation of Tang legends is related to historical biography,their aesthetic pursuits are markedly different.The leisurely state of Chuanqi composition,the creative pursuit of“captivating the heart and startling the eyes”,the preference for themes of ghosts and spirits,love and marriage,and chivalry,as well as the exploration and promotion of the“literary”characteristics in narrative,all contribute to the distinct face of legends creation compared to historical biographies.The pursuit of the“eccentricity”in legends of the Tang Dynasty,not only distinguishes it from novels before the Tang Dynasty,but also sets it apart from the later vernacular novel creation,thereby giving it a unique subjectivity and making it a special entity in the development of the novel genre.In the context of the development of ancient Chinese novels as a whole,the pursuit of the“eccentricity”in legends of the Tang Dynasty has promoted the pursuit of the“astonishing”effect in later novel creations,stimulated the development of narrative abilities to create surprising elements in storytelling,and contributed to the growth and development of ancient Chinese novels as a whole.
