《一份不适合女人的工作》与《李尔王》的互文性研究

摘　　要：英国当代著名推理小说家P.D.詹姆斯的代表作《一份不适合女人的工作》通过引用和暗示等手法显示出与莎士比亚悲剧《李尔王》的互文性。小说吸收了《李尔王》中考狄利娅形象的主要特征,将其改造为一个具有聪明才智、性格冷静、行事果敢的现代职业女性,创造出了侦探小说史上独一无二的女侦探科迪莉亚·格雷,并通过表现不负责任的父亲和在男性主导的领域赢得一席之地的女性形象实现了对原文本的颠覆与反叛。这一书写策略反映出詹姆斯在亲子关系和性别问题上的伦理诉求,即对平等的亲子关系和支持女性追求事业的社会环境的向往。The representative work of contemporary British detective novelist P.D.James,“An Unsuitable Job for a Woman”,demonstrates intertextuality with Shakespeare’s tragedy“King Lear”through techniques such as quotation and suggestion.The novel incorporates key characteristics of the character Cordelia from“King Lear”,transforming her into a modern professional woman who is intelligent,composed,and decisive,and created the unique female detective Cordelia Gray in the history of detective fiction.It subverts and rebels against the original text by portraying an irresponsible father and a woman who secures her place in a male-dominated field.This writing strategy reflects James’s ethical appeal regarding parent-child relationships and gender issues,namely a yearning for equal parent-child relationships and a supportive social environment for women pursuing careers.
