摘　　要：在18世纪,巴黎图书贸易蓬勃发展,书贩群体的规模空前扩大。尽管在相关法规和学院词典中,书贩仍被定义为由当局批准的印刷品的传播者,但在实际情况中,书贩兜售的内容却五花八门。通过走街串巷和上门推销,书贩与其兜售的书籍共同成为巴黎信息传播的重要中介。随着巴黎政治文化氛围的激进化,书贩形象逐渐与诽谤、谣言等令当权者感到不安的信息种类联系起来。无论是君主还是革命政府,都试图通过管制书贩来控制社会思想,但最终都不得不接受管制与折衷并存的现实。在从官方信使到危险分子的形象转变中,巴黎书贩被动地见证了近代法国信息生产与传播的社会化趋势。这一趋势最终与由大革命推进的政治民主化要求合流,共同构成了现代民主社会的基础。During the 18th century,the book trade in Paris flourished,and the number of book peddlers increased as never before.Although in relevant laws and the Dictionnaire de l'Académie fran?aise,the book peddlers(colporteur)were still literally defined as certain vendors who should sell lawful or official prints,in reality,they were peddling prints that largely varied.Through peddling books both along the street and door-to-door,the book peddlers,along with the books they sold,became an important intermediary for disseminating information in Paris.As the political and cultural climate in Paris radicalized,the image of the book peddlers was gradually associated with the information that beset the government,like the libels or rumors.Both the monarch and the revolutionary government attempted to control social thought by controlling the book peddlers but only ended up implementing regulations that coexisted with compromise.In the transformation of their image from official messengers to dangerous persons,Paris's book peddlers passively witnessed the socializing trend of producing and disseminating information in modern France.This trend eventually merged with the demands for political democratization advanced by the Revolution,forming the basis of modern democratic society.
