摘  要:从教育大国迈向教育强国,需秉持系统观念,统筹推进。19世纪末20世纪初,大中衔接成为美国教育改革的焦点。面临向现代大学转型的使命和公立中学迅速发展的客观现实,加强大中衔接成为詹姆斯·布瑞尔·安吉尔校长和密歇根大学发展的战略抉择。安吉尔认为大学与中学本质上存在“互惠共生关系”,公立中学应承担为大学提供预备教育的功能,而大学则需助力公立中学提升质量,两者共同推动大学与中学教育的无缝衔接。这一理念不仅关乎密歇根大学的招生利益,更是对民主与公共教育思想的深刻践行。基于此,安吉尔积极推行认证入学项目,旨在通过制度化的途径,确保教育机会的公平性与广泛性。安吉尔的大中衔接思想对于中国当前教育衔接及教育一体化建设问题的解决具有借鉴意义:首先,要明确界定并强化中学的升学预备教育性质与功能;其次,要充分发挥大学在大中衔接行动中的引领作用;最后,要采用灵活多样的大学招生方式。Moving from a super-scale educational nation to an educational superpower requires a systematic approach and coordinated efforts.At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century,the articulation between secondary and higher education became a focal point of educational reform in the United States.Faced with the mission of transitioning to modern universities and the rapid development of public high schools,strengthening the connection between secondary and higher education became a strategic choice for Angell and the University of Michigan.Angell believed that universities and high schools essentially have a"mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship".Public high schools should undertake the function of providing preparatory education for universities,while universities need to help public high schools improve quality and jointly promote seamless articulation between secondary and higher education.This concept is not only related to the recruitment interests of the University of Michigan but also a profound practice of democratic and public education ideas.Based on this,Angell actively implemented the certified admission program,aiming to ensure the fairness and universality of educational opportunities through institutional means.Angell's ideas on the articulation between secondary and higher education provide significant references for the current issues of articulation and educational integration in our country:First,it is necessary to clearly define and strengthen the nature and function of secondary schools as preparatory education for higher education;second,to fully leverage the leading role of universities in the articulation between secondary and higher education;and finally,to adopt flexible and diverse university recruitment methods.
