摘 要:康拉德的小说《黑暗的心》主题丰富,但其中的自然风景意象是一个经常被忽略的元素。小说中的自然风景不仅是故事的背景,更是带有浓厚主观与社会色彩的符号。主人公马洛是一个“不可靠”的叙述者和观察者,其观看风景的过程极大程度上受到其主观心理和视角的影响,使得小说中的风景描绘成为一种人为的建构,映射出马洛的“暗恐”心理。此外,在马洛的风景想象中,殖民地的风景在暗恐心理的扭曲下,被有意识的人格化,这削弱了殖民话语中的二元对立,并反映出康拉德的反殖民主义倾向。Conrad’s novel Heart of Darkness abound with different themes,however,the portrayal of natural landscape is an oftenoverlooked element.The natural landscape in the novel serves not merely as a backdrop but also functions as a potent symbol imbued with subjective and social significance.The protagonist,Marlow,embodies the role of an“unreliable”narrator and observer,with his perceptions heavily shaped by his subjective psychology and perspective.This subjectivity renders the depiction of the landscape an artificial construction that mirrors Marlow’s“uncanny.”Furthermore,Marlow’s imaginative colonial landscape reveals a conscious personification,distorted by uncanny,which diminishes the duality of colonial discourse and underscores Conrad’s anti-colonial sentiments.
