摘　　要：Professor Wang Zhengguo,a founding academician of the Medicine and Health Division of the Chinese Academy of Engineering,passed away in Shanghai at 9:26 am on January 5,2025,at the age of 89.Prof.Wang was one of the founding fathers of China's medical research in Impact Injury,Ballistic Trauma,and Traffic Medicine.He was also the leader of China's key discipline in Battlefield Surgery.In 2014,Prof.Wang used his funds to establish Shanghai Wang Zhengguo Foundation for Traumatic Medicine,a philanthropic organization with the vision to further China's scientific research and clinical care in traumatic medicine.
