清代《红楼梦》刊本的出海之旅——以广州为中心

摘　　要：清中叶广州出版业蓬勃发展,《红楼梦》的刊行具有标志性意义。现知有15种《红楼梦》刊本的梓行地位于广东,其中东观阁——文畬堂系列评本、东观阁——三让堂系统评本的影响较大。受“一口通商”政令影响,清代《红楼梦》刊本大多由广州港出海。《红楼梦》首次英译是马礼逊在广州进行的,第一部评介《红楼梦》的英语文章也发表于广州。在《红楼梦》海外传播过程中,广府发挥的重要功能,应是当时政策条件、经济水平、地理环境和出版业发展水平等因素共同作用的结果。在分析中国古籍海外流布现象时,以往学术界多站在接受学角度加以考察;若能尝试从输出角度加以研究,聚焦《红楼梦》自广州出海、辐射到世界各地的现象,则可为中华优秀传统文化走出去发掘历史经验、提供当代价值。The flourishing development of Guangzhou’s publishing industry in the mid-Qing Dynasty marked the publication of Dream of the Red Chamber.It is known that there are 15 editions of Dream of the Red Chamber published in Guangdong region.Under the influence of the“Single Port Trade”policy,most of the publications were exported from Guangzhou port.The first English translation of Dream of the Red Chamber was accomplished by Morrison in Guangzhou,and the first English article to review Dream of the Red Chamber was also published in Guangzhou.The important role played by Guangzhou in the overseas dissemination of Dream of the Red Chamber should be the result of the interaction of policy conditions,economic level,geographical environment,and other factors at that time.When analyzing the phenomenon of Chinese ancient books spreading overseas,the academic community used to examine them from a reception perspective.If attempting to study from the perspective of output,focusing on the phenomenon of Dream of the Red Chamber being disseminated from Guangzhou to various parts of the world,it could uncover historical experiences for the dissemination of excellent traditional Chinese culture and provide contemporary value.
