In order to investigate the impact of river flood and surface overflow on the drainage capacity of urban pipe network, the Jiangnan District of Yiwu City was chosen as the study area.Based on the MIKE Model,a two-dimensional coupled hydro-hydrodynamic model was established to simulate the drainage capacity of urban pipe network and urban inundation under different simulation conditions. The results show that river flood and surface overflow dynamically interact with pipeline drainage.Under the 20-year design flood, river floods can reduce the drainage capacity of the pipe network due to water backing up,while surface overflow drainage to sewer manholes significantly enhances the drainage capacity of the pipe network.Overall, surface overflow drainage has a greater impact on the drainage capacity of the pipe network than the hydraulic effect of river floods. The research conclusions can provide a reference for the design of urban drainage system and the prevention of urban flooding.
