基於性別操演理論看《赫索格》中貝婁的女性觀

摘　　要：索爾·貝婁在《赫索格》中塑造了懦弱膽小的主人公赫索格和眾多個性鮮明且風格各異的女性形象,如勤儉持家的傳統女性黛茜、強悍激進的獨立女性馬德琳、性感自信的現代女性雷夢娜和甜美可愛的傳統女性園子,並通過這些女性形象表達他對不同類型的女性的看法和態度。性別屬性是男性和女性在社會規範下不斷操演而形成的,但貝婁對膽小懦弱的赫索格和強悍獨立的馬德琳都是批判且擔憂的,他認為這並不是男女相處的理想狀態。雷蒙娜這樣多元化的女性在接受社會規範操演的同時,既保留了傳統女性的優秀品質,也能順應時代的發展提升自己,才是貝婁所認同的最佳狀態。Saul Bellow portrays the timid protagonist Herzog and numerous diverse female characters in Herzog,such as the traditional woman Daisy,the independent woman Madeleine,and the modern woman Romona.Through these different female images,he expresses his distinct views on women.Gender attributes are formed by males and females in social norms,but Bellow is concerned about the timid Herzog and independent Madeleine,believing this is not the ideal state for men and women.Romona,a diverse woman who accepts social norms while retaining the excellent qualities of traditional women,can also adapt to the development of the times and improve herself,which is the best state recognized by Bellow.
