摘 要:基于性状的方法为理解物种分布、解析群落组装和确定群落生态功能提供了一个概念框架。在淡水生态系统中,浮游动物群落通常以复杂的食物网存在,由于组成群落的物种涉及多个营养级,因此合理选择性状,并将这些性状与对环境的响应和生态过程联系起来是目前研究的一个难题。枝角类是淡水食物网中的关键类群,是上行、下行效应作用的枢纽,对该类群群落构建与生态功能的理解有助于对整个淡水生态系统结构、功能的认识。为此,笔者梳理了枝角类性状划分、量化和性状选择,功能多样性测量方法概述和计算,功能性状在响应环境和生态系统过程中的应用研究内容。目前枝角类的性状研究主要集中在响应性状上,为能更好地理解该类群在生态系统中的功能,今后需加强的工作有:1)枝角类的化学计量学、摄食率、生长率等效应性状的测量和收集,并与响应性状联合使用;2)基于α功能多样性的计算,进一步拓展到功能冗余度和功能β多样性等计算;3)加强对关键的功能性状(如摄食模式和防御)的认识,关注它们在不同分类水平、生境以及地理上的分布和变异,认识全球变化对枝角类群落结构与功能的影响。Trait-based approaches provide a conceptual framework to mechanistically understand species distribution,structural assembly and ecological functions of biological communities.In freshwater ecosystems,zooplankton communities typically exist in complex food webs,where species are distributed across different trophic levels.The determination of traits that are related to environmental and ecological processes remains a challenge in aquatic ecosystems.Cladocerans are one of the major freshwater zooplankton groups that serve as a medium between higher-order consumers and producers in aquatic ecosystems.They serve as a hub for both bottom-up and top-down processes.Determining the community assembly and ecological functions of this group will improve our understanding of the structure and function of freshwater ecosystems.In this review paper,the calculation and selection of functional traits and functional diversity for cladocerans were systematically summarized.This can provide guidelines in applying functional traits information to ecological monitoring,management,and protection.This paper includes three aspects:the classification,quantification,and selection of traits for cladocerans,the overview and calculation of functional diversity measurement methods,and the application of functional traits in assessing environment and ecosystem functions.At present,the studies that focus on functional traits of cladocerans mainly emphasized response traits.To improve the use of functional traits in ecological studies,future researches should focus on:1)Measuring and collection of effect traits such as stoichiometry,feeding rate and growth rate of cladocerans,and combining the effect traits and response traits in functional traits analyses;2)Functional redundancy and functionalβdiversity beyond functionalαdiversity;3)Enhancing the understanding of key functional traits(such as feeding patterns and defense),and exploring functional trait distribution and variation across taxonomic levels,geographic units or habitats,so as to
