摘　　要：1.Project introduction As the second-largest hydropower station in the world in terms of installed capacity,the Baihetan Hydropower Station plays a crucial role in China's West–East electricity transmission project.Located in the lower reaches of the Jinsha River,the dam site straddles Ningnan County in Sichuan Province and Qiaojia County in Yunnan Province in China,controlling a basin area of 430300 km^(2) and covering 91%of the Jinsha River's catchment.
