摘　　要：探究如何在数字经济时代下缓解城乡消费不平等对于促进城乡融合发展与实现共同富裕具有重要意义。文章以2008—2021年中国286个地级及以上城市为研究样本,将“宽带乡村”试点工程和电信普遍服务试点项目视为一项准自然实验,采用双重差分方法,系统考察了乡村数字技术发展对城乡消费差距的影响效应及内在机制。研究发现,乡村数字技术的发展可以缓解城乡消费不平等。机制在于,乡村数字技术发展通过提高收入水平、改善收入分配结构、改变消费观念以及降低信息获取成本,有效地缩小了城乡消费差距。乡村数字技术具备时间累积效应与强外部性特征的双重属性,不仅随时间累积对本地产生影响效应愈加强烈,而且对相邻地区产生空间溢出效应,对缓解我国城乡消费不平等具有重要贡献。It is of great significance to explore how to alleviate urban-rural consumption inequality in the era of digital economy in order to promote the integrated development of urban and rural areas and realise common prosperity.The article systematically examines the effect of rural digital technology development on the urban-rural consumption gap and its underlying mechanism by adopting the double-difference method with 286 prefecture-level and above cities in China as the research samples from 2008—2021,and treating the pilot project of“"broadband countryside”and the pilot project of telecommunication universal service as a quasi-natural experiment.The study finds that the development of rural digital technology has a significant impact on the rural-urban consumption gap.The study finds that the development of rural digital technology can improve urban-rural consumption inequality.The mechanism lies in the fact that the development of rural digital technology reduces the urban-rural consumption gap by raising the income level and improving the income distribution,changing the consumption concept,and reducing the cost of information access.It is found that rural digital technology has the dual attributes of cumulative effect in time and strong externality,which not only has a stronger impact on the local area over time,but also has a spatial spillover effect on the neighbouring areas,which makes an important contribution to the improvement of urban-rural consumption inequality in China.
