摘 要:从极端金属歌词的边缘化现象出发,可考察极端唱腔的主要类型,并归纳出其主要特征有失真性、非旋律性、非语义性以及技巧性。这些属性导致了极端金属中歌词与唱腔的内在矛盾。基于此,可从美学成规、场景身份、符号系统等角度阐释极端唱腔在极端金属流派形成中的作用,并提出其特有的文化价值在于象征性越轨。Starting from the marginalization phenomenon of Extreme Metal lyrics,this paper examines the three major types of extreme vocal styles,including yelling,growling,and screeching,all of which are characterized by distortion,non-melodiousness,non-semantics,and technicality.These attributes have led to an inherent contradiction between lyrics and vocals in Extreme Metal music.Based on that,the paper elucidates the role of extreme vocal styles in the formation of Extreme Metal sub-genre from the perspectives of aesthetic conventions,scene identity,and semiotic systems,and further proposes that their unique cultural value lies in symbolic transgression.
