The evaluation indexes of existing bridge demolition schemes often involve multiple factors and levels. As a result,it is difficult to conduct the scientific and effective evaluation of the demolition schemes through the traditional decision-making methods.Aiming at this problem,in order to further improve the compliance and rationality of the scheme decision, the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)is used to evaluate the demolition scheme of existing bridges.By analyzing the current regulations and engineering cases, six common demolition schemes and seven main influencing factors are concluded after all things considered. An evaluation model of bridge demolition scheme involving multiple factors and variables is established. To verify its effectiveness, the evaluation model will be used in a bridge demolition project located in Xi'an,Shaanxi Province. Finally, the segmented cutting removal scheme is selected through the evaluation model.According to the feedback of the participating units in the whole process, the scheme has been recognized by the majority of people, which further verifies the reliability and applicability of the evaluation model, and can provide a valuable engineering case for the similar projects.
