In order to improve the reinforcement effect of soft soil reinforcement materials on silty soil,a new type of soft soil reinforcement material was prepared by alkali activation, with mineral slag, carbide slag and cement as raw materials. The intensity of soil reinforcement was studied by unconfined compressive strength testing, the microstructure of reinforced soil was characterized by means of microscopic analysis and jet grouting was tested on site with an optimal combination. Results showed that the combination of mineral slag, carbide slag and Na_(2)SO_(4) had the best performance, with the 28d compressive strength of 1.3 MPa and 180d maximum compressive strength of 2.1 MPa;the porosity of each type was analyzed, which was low at high alkalinity.SEM showed that the combination of mineral slag, carbide slag and Na_(2)SO_(4) produced calcium silicate as well as a large amount of ettringite, with higher intensity.On-site core sampling testing of jet grouting showed that the combination of mineral slag, carbide slag and Na_(2)SO_(4) had the minimum compressive strength of 0.9 MPa,conforming to the design requirements. Results of this study provide a reference for reinforcement of coastal silty soil in China.
