汉英双向机助同声传译的认知过程研究

摘  要:本文通过眼动追踪实验,探讨学生译员在汉英双向机助同声传译中的认知过程。结果表明,机助同传在英译汉方向显著降低了学生译员的认知负荷,在汉英双向均显著提高了译文准确度。在汉英双向中,学生译员对语音识别提供的原文字幕分配了较多注意力资源,但在加工机器口译提供的译文字幕时感知的认知负荷较低。学生译员在一定程度上参考译文字幕以辅助其口译产出,在英译汉方向尤为明显。同时,本文加深了学界对冗余效应和口译方向相对难度的理解。This study investigates the cognitive processes involved in bi-directional Chinese-English technology-assisted simultaneous interpreting(SI)through an eye-tracking experiment with student interpreters as participants.The findings reveal that technology-assisted SI reduces cognitive load more effectively in the English-to-Chinese direction.Moreover,it significantly enhances interpretation accuracy in both directions.Analysis of eye-tracking data indicates that student interpreters allocate substantial attentional resources to source text subtitles generated by automatic speech recognition(ASR),while experiencing reduced cognitive load when processing target text subtitles provided by machine interpreting(MI).Participants rely on MI-generated target text subtitles to a certain extent to facilitate their interpretation,particularly in the English-to-Chinese direction.These results contribute to a deeper understanding of the"redundancy effect"and the relative difficulty of interpreting directions,while offering empirical support for the integration of technologies in interpreting practice.
