摘  要:Located in Sakya County,an ancient city nestled at the foot of the Himalayas,the 950-year-old Sakya Monastery majestically spans both the southern and northern banks of the Zhongqu River.Renowned for its distinctive architectural style and profound historical significance,the monastery has been academically hailed as the"Dunhuang in the Snowy Land"and sometimes referred to as"The Second Dunhuang".Shagtse Dorje,Executive Chief Editor of the Tibetan version of Tibetan Research and Director of the journal's Editorial Department,spoke in detail about the monastery's rich history and unique features during an interview with East-West Dialogue,a program hosted by China News Service.
